Mystery. Drama. Crime. Death. British.
These are all words used to describe the works of Agatha Christie.
I first read her writing when I was in 9th grade. One of the choice novels that we were assigned was And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.
I fell in love with that book, and when I was in high school, I read a few more books by her including The ABC Murders and Murder at the Vicarage. During that time, I also was introduced to the different filmed versions of Miss Marple.
So, it’s no shock that I eventually found myself setting the goal of reading all of Agatha Christie’s books. This goal has been two years in the making, and while there are still some short stories I need to read and her romance books that she wrote under a pseudonym, I have read all of her mystery novels.
Below, I will give you my overall thoughts of her writing, and I will rank my favorite books throughout different categories.
I also will add the disclaimer that no matter what star rating I gave a book, my decision to rank them was based more on the impact the story line left on me rather than my overall thoughts on the plot and writing.
