Fall is Here

As I step outside,
I feel the cool, gentle breeze.
I look to my right,
And I see the leaves rustling in the trees.
Their green hue shifting to orange.
Fall is here

As I turn on the TV,
I see the football teams clash on the field.
The yelling from next door change to cheers as their team wins.
Spooky movies creep their way onto the channels.
Witches, ghosts, and goblins dance across the screen.
Fall is here.

As I walk into the store,
I smell the cinnamon wafting from the bakery.
I see the bright orange of pumpkin spice everything.
I walk to the clothes and feel the warm, fuzzy sweaters.
They will wrap me tight tonight.
Fall is here.

As the sun sets lower earlier and earlier,
And the cool night air whistles in my ears,
My excitement rises as I realize
Fall is here.
