The Restaurant (Inktober Day 22: Chef)

Tonight was a busy night at the restaurant.

We just had large groups come through getting ready to head to prom, and the loudness has finally settled into a more peaceful atmosphere.

I had just placed a customer’s dish of Shepherd’s Pie on the table, when he told me to wait a moment.

Based on the way he looked around the place and at the food, this was his first time here.

After hesitatingly taking a bite, a grin of satisfaction appeared on his face.

“This is delicious! Send my compliments to the chef.”

“I will make sure to do that sir,” I say as I walk back to the kitchen.

I walk back through the kitchen to find the chef retrieving more meat from the freezer. It’s always a grizzly sight when he hacks away at a new limb.

Based on the size of the arm, it might be a female this time. They’re a bit too stringy for my taste, but the slice of meat tends to be very popular.
