Poetry Day 8: Finding Beauty in the Ugly

The crumbling building looms over a deserted parking lot
Weeds sprout from the cracks in the concrete
Paint that was once sky blue has now faded to gray

This building was once a home to many people
Now, this building is the home of memories

Time has worn away its looks
Time has allowed for it to live

Looking upon this magnificent capsule
I wonder what stories it has to tell
